Go and make money first before making g friends” -Timaya advises youth
Nigerian musician, Enitimi Alfred Odom popularly known as Timaya has encouraged the youth to work hard to make wealth before making friends.
Timaya stated that it is very awkward and irresponsible for young people to focus on making friends rather than acquiring wealth.
According to him “everyone can be successful. If someone like me who used to be a plantain seller can be successful, then why not everybody? I want to advise youths to make money before friends. If the youths make money first, then the friends will automatically come; but there won’t be a friend without money”, he said
The Nigerian singer and songwriter is the founder of South South hip-hop group called Den Mama Soldiers.
His solo career began in 2005 with the release of Dem Mama and gained further visibility and international prominence through his third studio album De Rebirth.
His works have earned him four Headies Awards and one Nigeria Music Award.
